How to split expenses with a flatmate — without a fight

Sharing a flat makes economic sense but is socially delicate. Money talks grow with small build-ups; setting up the system in week one saves the household.
Separate shared and personal items
Rent, dues, internet, groceries and cleaning supplies are shared; personal care and private orders are personal. Write the shared list together.
Pool or take turns?
Two practical methods: a common pool (everyone puts in a fixed amount at the start of the month, expenses come out of it) or payer-logs-it (whoever spends records it, settlement happens at month-end). The latter is fairer for large, irregular expenses.
Set a rule for big purchases
For shared items like a mixer or vacuum cleaner, discuss "what happens when someone moves out?" before buying.
On record with Home+
In Parasyo+ Home+, the shared shopping list stays current on everyone's phone; the shared wallet records whoever spent what, and the debt balance is computed automatically. The chore wheel also fairly distributes cleaning and dishes — money and labor get solved in the same place.
