Using an app instead of an Excel budget template: when to switch?

Budgeting in Excel is a good start — flexible, free and familiar. But past a point, maintaining the spreadsheet becomes more work than keeping the budget.
Sign 1: Formulas break
You deleted a row and the totals went wrong. As the template grows, so does the risk of error; in an app, the math is always right.
Sign 2: You can't use it on your phone
An expense not recorded at the moment it happens gets forgotten. If you can't log a record with two taps at the checkout, data loss becomes chronic.
Sign 3: Two people clash on the same file
Editing the same file with your spouse or partner creates version chaos. In an app, the data is single and current.
Sign 4: Reports take extra effort
Drawing charts and preparing the month-end summary by hand takes time. In an app, reports come ready; you just read them.
Sign 5: Receipts aren't attached to the file
The Excel row says "groceries 847 TL" — but where is the receipt? In an app, the receipt photo lives inside the record.
Switching to ParasyoFree is free: import your existing Excel/CSV records, set up your categories, and shelve the spreadsheet.
